GETTING STARTED
The first thing you need to do is find a domain name for yourself. That is the "link" for your site similar to what you see in the address bar above. For example, this site is "wildrose.net". The URL is what people use to find you.
You can do it in two ways. One is to get your own dedicated domain name, the second is to use a tertiary or Sub-domain such as "mysite.iamateurs.com". With a dedicated domain you have two choices. You can choose to register the domain yourself or we can handle all of this for you. Domains cost about $15.00 a year so the decision is up to you.
Dedicated Domain Name:
there are many companies that register domains for you, two the ones we prefer and recommend people touse are DirectNIC or Godaddy as your domain registrar. Once you find a domain you're happy with, register it with the information requested, but use the following nameserver information....
Nameserver 1: ns1.wrp.net
Nameserver 2: ns2.wrp.net
We will also be happy to do the registration for you, Just ask! Your site will ALWAYS remain your site regardless who registers the domain, so there's no need to worry about site theft.
If you already have a domain name, all you need to do is change your Nameserver information and you are ready to go.
